Yesterday we hosted our first movie night of the season. We started with a short film on preserving the Bruce Castle Oak Tree. We then screened our main feature, The Antwerp Arms Community Pub, which is the first in a series of documentary films commissioned by Camra in partnership with the Plunkett foundation on community pubs.
The film showcased our 10th birthday celebrations and included interviews with the founding and current committee members plus some of our volunteers.
It was so good we had to screen it twice. If you weren’t able to join us for our premier, you can watch the film online, and see our short birthday clip.
With big thanks to Katie Greenhalf (This Film) and Rachel Auty (Women On Tap CIC), who filmed us in June and produced the film.
Don’t miss our next films in December, which are part of the Festival of Community Cinema. Haringey Fixers Social Cinema secured funding for us to bring you two classic films. On 2nd December you can watch Singin In The Rain and on 30th December we will be showing Moonlight. Book your tickets on Eventbrite or email admin@antwerparms.co.uk to book a seat.
