Our Antwerp community has been saddened to hear of the passing of Steve Mann on 28 December after a short illness.
Our thoughts are with his wife Jennifer and the wider family.
Steve was a shareholder and great supporter of the Antwerp. As Mayor of Haringey, Steve championed the Antwerp and attended many supportive fundraising events at the pub. Steve is remembered on the plaque in our extension which he opened as Mayor in 2018.
In 2021 Steve was on hand again to open our refurbished back garden as the Hope and Anchor Yard. We remember his big smile and winning ways when talking to people. As recently as our 8th birthday party in 2023 we enjoyed his company with Jennifer watching the big band and cutting our birthday cake.
Thanks to Steve for all he did for the pub. We’ll miss him.
