Celebrate singer-songwriter Neil Young’s 80th birthday.  

Born in Ontario. Canada on 12 November 1945, he took up guitar as a teenager then relocated to Los Angeles, arriving there in a converted hearse. 
 
Old man look at his life ! Following early music career successes with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Neil topped the US pop charts with ‘Heart of Gold’ in 1972, while his album ‘Harvest’ did likewise in both US and U.K. charts. 
 
In total, Neil has delivered 41 albums into the US Top 40, while rocking live in the free world for the best part of 60 years. He is credited as the godfather of grunge and an influence on many bands. It’s a huge achievement in a business in which you can be here today, then gone tomorrow. 
 
Currently a huge thorn in Donald Trump’s side, we wish Neil many more years of doing what he does best. Currently married to Daryl Hannah, long may he run.
